Reporting & Documentation
Images from all POCUS non-training scans should be stored and a formal structured report created. This is the GPICS standard and supports clinical review, governance, and quality control.
Every report should include: operator and accreditation · machine images are stored on · study findings and interpretation · title highlighting the report type.

In EPR, open Preferences and then Acronym Expansion.

In your own acronym expansion window, tap Import from other users. From the new window select Cranfield, Dr Alistair.

You’ll see Alistair’s full list of acronym expansions. Tick the boxes next to the structured reports you want and press OK.

In the patient’s EPR page, add a new Clinical Note v2. Tap the bubble at the top to name the note appropriately (e.g. POCUS Heart).

In the note, type the acronym (e.g.
#POCUSheart) and press enter. The structured report template appears, ready to populate.
